October 16, 2023 – Clean water isn’t just for quenching thirst; it is essential for growing our food. Farms, where 70% of our food comes from, are major water users, accounting for 72% of global freshwater withdrawals. Shockingly, this demand is expected to surge by 35% by 2050. Neglecting this water-food link imperils our food supply and livelihoods worldwide. This World Food Day let’s come together and recognize water’s pivotal role in food security.
