Spire takes trophy at maiden awards outing

Singapore, 22 July 2022 – Spire Research and Consulting celebrated 22 years in Singapore by winning an award at the prestigious MARKETING INTERACTIVE Agency of the Year Awards 2022.

Spire took home the bronze trophy in the Market Research Agency category at a gala dinner at Singapore’s swanky Shangri-La Hotel on 22 July. This is the first time Spire has participated in the industry-recognised awards.

Spire’s Chairman and co-founder, Leon Perera, said, “This award means a lot. It is truly an honour we want to share with our many valued clients who have kept faith with us through two decades in the business.” 

“It is also a recognition of our talented, hardworking research teams who strive every day to deliver not just reports, but actionable, valuable insights our clients can take and use to make those tough decisions.”

The category was one of 32 in the 15th instalment of the hotly-contested event organised by MARKETING INTERACTIVE, a regional marketing and media industry publication. The awards recognise the best performing agencies across a variety of media and marketing verticals in Singapore. 

Entries were submitted in April and judging was rigorous. The agencies were evaluated on a variety of criteria such as business performance and growth in the preceding financial year, as well as for new clients won, innovative and groundbreaking work, and thought leadership.

A judging panel of 22 senior professionals from across industries as diverse as banking, energy, healthcare and retail independently reviewed and scored entries to confirm the initial shortlist and eventual winners.

Japnit Singh, Spire’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “Spire has been a pillar of the market research industry for 22 years but this was a new experience for us. We’ve always worked quietly to build our reputation.”

“Taking part in our first awards allowed us to benchmark ourselves against our peers in the industry. This win will drive us to even greater heights.”

The win is another highlight to a great year for Spire, on the back of Spire’s new brand launch in 2021, and entry into the Middle East market in 2020.
