Spire DCEO, Japnit Singh, spoke at the Food Ingredient Asia 2021 webinar on 14 September, where he shared insights on growth opportunities for proteins in Thailand.
Spire conducted a survey on Thai consumers’ attitudes toward health and wellness, and ageing, and their food consumption habits. Japnit presented the findings of the study, where he focused on protein consumption and its sources.
Japnit shared that Thailand’s protein market is underserved, and this may present profitable opportunities for businesses. While they are well aware of the health benefits of proteins, the Thai consumers have unmet needs around healthy ageing. The Spire study reveals that there is market potential for protein-rich products as 95% of Thai consumers are willing to pay a premium for healthy food.
