Rewinding to Wind Energy

In 2019, the Asia Pacific region accounted for 50.7% of all new wind power installations, according to the Global Wind Energy Council.

Utilising wind energy is not new. We used the power of the wind to sail across oceans and built wind mills to pump water and grind grains. The race to replace fossil fuels with clean energy revived the interest and usage of wind, making it one of the fastest-growing energy sources in the world.

The wind energy industry is growing exponentially with massive economic and social impact. Countries with active wind power industries experience the creation of direct employment and revenue generation from tourism and offshore wind energy.

Will wind energy emerge as the leading clean energy in the next decade?
