ZTE: Shooting for Apple’s Pie

ZTE, the leading Chinese provider of telecommunications solutions, has started manufacturing smartphones in Argentina together with BGH, a white goods manufacturer.

The company has also announced plans to produce computer tablets in Brazil, and invest USD200 million for a first of its king facility in Latin America, housing a R&D, production, training and logistics management.

Will the company’s LatAm strategy targeting both North and South America win a pie/ share of Apple’s market? Only time will tell.
