Do you Weibo?

Former Aussie PM and Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd has joined Sina Weibo; attracting 100,000 followers within three days of joining the Chinese microblogging platform!.

Weibo is the world’s largest online social network with over 300 million registered users. Not only is it large, it is also very active with the top 100 users having over 485 million followers combined. According to Hitwise, Weibo is playing a more important role in driving traffic to e-commerce websites in China, as compared to Facebook and Twitter. A total of 6.5% Sina Weibo users are directed to e-commerce websites, including daily deal sites, C2C websites (e.g. Taobao) and B2C Websites (e.g. 360buy.com).

So the new hot question is: Do you Weibo?
