Spire’s very own breakfast seminar: Myanmar – Seizing the Opportunities Amidst the Pitfalls

“Myanmar – Seizing the Opportunities Amidst the Pitfalls” was a breakfast seminar organized by Spire on 25 January 2013. Held at the Tower Club Singapore, Spire’s clients were invited to a casual breakfast buffet, followed by a thought-provoking seminar. This was the first of a series of talks that Spire hopes to bring to other countries  as well.

Myanmar is currently in the spotlight as one of the most exciting emerging markets in the World, particularly in Asia. The seminar provided an overview of Myanmar’s current business conditions, outlined what the future looks like, and defined sound business strategies for companies seeking export or investment opportunities. For many of our clients, this was highly relevant since doing business in Myanmar was of great interest to them.

The two main speakers for the event were Leon Pantaleon, Country General Manager of United Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Myanmar, who shared his cumulative experience from two decades of operating in Myanmar, and Genevieve Koh, Assistant Manager, Client Service in Spire, who spoke of the current conditions and strategies to move forward pertaining to specific industries. After which, Leon Perera, CEO of Spire, joined them for an interactive panel discussion.
