Sept 27, 2022 – As Covid-19 restrictions ease around the world, tourism numbers are rising sharply because of pent-up demand and “revenge tourism”. Countries and tourism players nimble and deft enough to scale up quickly and ride this wave will see outsized gains. Going forward, it is likely that the global tourism industry will return to its former glory. There is a twist in the tale, and it is a direct result of the global pandemic: tourists will be more willing to pay a premium to visit safer and well-regulated destinations.
