Kindergartens & Cuisine: Future business opportunities in Indonesia

October 01, 2022

Spire’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jeffrey Bahar, spoke at the recent Singapore Women Entrepreneurs Network (SG-WEN) business trip in Jakarta.

Jeffrey shared insights on future business opportunities in Indonesia and discussed the existing opportunities related to women entrepreneurship in Indonesia. He also shared the market potential and trends in the early childhood education industries, as more Indonesian parents are sending their children to school at earlier ages, a trend that has continued through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Another sector with plenty of potential is the culinary sector of the food and beverage (F&B) industry, which is valued at US$ 29.2 billion, and constitutes more than 40% of Indonesia’s creative economy. Besides elaborating where the business potential lies, Jeffrey also presented how the Indonesian F&B market coped with the economic impact of Covid-19.

SG-WEN is a network formed by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to manage the ongoing efforts of businesswomen within the community, and drive change in Singapore and Southeast Asia, in particular.
