Growing the future: Spire Vietnam partners with American soy and grain body to launch quality assurance mark in Asia

November 01, 2022
American soy and grain producers were able to connect with food and agribusiness firms in Vietnam at the recent international launch of the U.S. Identity Preserved mark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Developed by the Specialty Soya and Grains Alliance (SSGA), a U.S.-based association of field crop producers, Identity Preserved is both an assurance plan and brand mark that stands for the verification of trust, traceability and value for food manufacturers, processors and exporters.
SSGA representatives spoke about the U.S. Identity Preserved system and went in-depth on the quality, characteristics and performance customers can expect from specialty soybeans and grains from the United States. Spire’s Vietnam team played a key role in the event, inviting local companies and media to join the event as they worked closely with the client team to ensure the event’s success.
Eric Weinberg, SSGA director, observed that there is a growing market for high-quality, variety-specific soybeans and grains in Vietnam and the region. Products with the U.S. Identity Preserved mark are aimed at meeting the needs of producers seeking high quality and consistency, and consumers focused on traceability and safety in the foods they purchased.
During the two-day programme, Spire also arranged for some partner matching two of Vietnam’s top companies, Vinasoy and TH true milk, to meet up with US exporters.
