Ikang has more than 16 years of experience in marketing and sales research, data analytics, statistical consulting, and computational science.
His background as mathematician makes him very adaptive and agile in digital transformation-data-related fields. He has done various types of nationwide research to multi-country research in various industries such as FMCG, banking, telecom, and E-Commerce; as a researcher in agency and client-side.
Ikang began his career as a market research executive in Marketing Research Indonesia (MRI), specializing in banking mystery shopping. In the following years, he worked on market research projects on multiple industries. He honed his abilities and skills by practising data science and mathematical optimization. Several leading universities in Indonesia have also invited him to be their guest speaker as well as collaborated with him on data science projects.
Ikang advises Spire on data science-related projects, such as online data acquisition using web-scraping techniques and advanced data analysis.
Ikang holds a Master’s degree in Computational Science from Institut Teknologi Bandung and has professional certificate in Big Data Analyst from TUV-Rheinland. He is also a trainer in data science using R programming for several non-profit organizations and communities.
He is currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
