
Dr Herbert Siagian
Dr Herbert Siagian has a background in agricultural economics, but also holds a post-graduate degree from Germany with a specialization in the marketing strategies of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). He is currently the Head of the Planning and Budgeting Division in the Directorate General for Regional Autonomy of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Indonesia.
Dr Siagian brings to Spire 11 years of experience in quantitative marketing research and econometric techniques, developmental public sector econometrics as well as agricultural economics.
Dr Siagian has over 6 years of teaching experience in Human Resource Management, Local Government Administration, Strategic Management and Marketing in various universities in Indonesia. He was appointed as Vice Project Director in January 2010 for the Initiatives of Local Government Reforms, Indonesia.
Previously, Dr Siagian held several positions in Indonesia’s government sector, namely in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Dr Siagian holds a Doctorate in Agricultural Economics, Institut fuer Betriebslehre der Agrar- und Ernaehrungswissenschaft, Justus-Liebig-Universitaet Giessen in Giessen, Germany.
He is currently based in Indonesia.
